natural order of empire

NATURAL ORDER OF EMPIRE

Empires can be a lot smaller than our current ( but already chipped away at and soon to be defunct if for no other reason financial ) globe spanning PetroDollar Pax-Americana. They contract or expand as allowed ( the Mongols most likely contracted not because of political infighting or religion- no religion keeps money and power away from rulers but exactly the opposite- but because they reached the limits of grazing which their military relied ). So when I say empires are the natural order of things, you can also think about smaller units such as the Italian city-states or even Greece and not necessarily huge sprawling areas like the Ottoman or Rome empire. The meaning I’m looking for is more along the lines of “centralizing, hierarchical structures”, but of course “empires” is an all inclusive word letting everyone know that your small political unit grows through conquest until it collapses through resource depletion, financial and military overreach.

*

But let’s start at the beginning. Man, as in mankind as a species for those idiots castrated by politically correctness and unable to fathom the neutrality of the word as originally used, is a predator. Not a few crazy bastards like vicious homicidal maniacs or Green Berets, although I might be repeating myself, but every last swinging dingus amongst us. Even women, far less physical by nature and inclination but fully capable of the violence of the largest male if given the correct tools and motivation, and the meek and mild are predators of a different ilk. All mankind as a species is a predator to the highest evolutionary order. Man evolved on the African savanna and his evolution was extraordinary. By the simple act of being able to outrun any animal, not in bursts of speed but by out distancing, even a horse, because of our ability to shed heat by sweating, we became and remain the Alpha Hunter. And when you take the best hunter around who also has both an evolving bran ( the reptilian remnants suggest we have come quit far ) and opposable thumbs, man was destined to be the top species by an exponential margin.

*

So, here you have a species that has got quite the chip on his shoulder. He is Billy Bad Ass. Even the weakest members crippled by disease ( up to a certain point-the worst are lion bate ) or less physically endowed can by cooperation with the group be devastating to all other predators ( to the point that the more dangerous were turned into sporting targets as in bulls and bears ). With an outlook like that, is it going to be any wonder that man takes particular delight in going beyond simple animal predators and turns his eye towards other groups of humans? You know those poor bastard Neanderthals, because of whatever defect as compared to modern man they had, never stood a chance. And other tribes, because we are rather territorial ( a survival trait ), are naturally a competing predator and must be eliminated for our own survival ( and because, hey, let’s admit it, killing unworthy males and enriching our stagnating gene pool with fresh females turned out to be highly rewarding and bunches of fun ).

More tomorrow.

  1. Indeed, the finely folicaled one is absolutely correct.
Predators, Killers, each and everyone of us. Oh, not all the time, and not without reasonable rational cause in most cases. But look at the homicides by even the most unlikely.
Heck the amish own guns, and kill their livestock when it is time to harvest.
Even pacifist vegetarians newagers can be moved to kill, and they are some of the most creative when they do.
Which begs the question, why havent the rulling elites proven their dominance by significantly culling the herd that is draining resources the elites could be passing on to their descendants?

    Hmmm....

    1. The elite are still under the old paradigm-bribe the masses to avoid a Luddite destruction of infrastructure. If we know a die-off is in the making ( one wonders, fiction aside, if a man made disaster can be sudden and all inclusive ) we would have the numbers to destry ALL the elite AND their sources of essentials and luxuries. Jim Morrison- they've got the guns but we've got the numbers.

    2. We talked before about societal collapse. Are you postulating a collapse of the economy causing a societal collapse because our infrastructure is so closely tied to it (not to mention relation to friendlies. Oh, in the bison newsletter you go on a bit about getting out of debt. Which is great no doubt. But, if a person is getting "personal loans" why bother worrying about paying them back if the economy is going to tank. Not to mention with banks in the picture what enforcement will a bank have if infrastructure is gone? My point is why worry?

    3. Well, as we also just talked about, not all loans are equal. You finance a car to get a cheaper lot of land. Bust your ass paying off the land so the bankers can't touch it, don't worry if they repo the car eventually. The bankers control the country, so just be a little paranoid about what they can do to get money ( like have the King Kenyan insurance industry bail-out health care tax enacted )

    4. All debt is bad. But some debt is more bad than others.
Mortgages are literally death pledges. The bankers can kick you out on the street and take your shelter and all its contents.
Student loans are nearly as bad. The bankers can sieze your tax returns, your social security and welfare payments, even going so far as to garnish wages or sieze property if you have anything worth taking and cant argue the lawsuit that requires well enough.
Credit cards etc only rape you financially and are a lot easier to fight in court- a simple bankruptcy usually solves them- at least until the laws change again.
Rule of thumb if the bank can take something from you without going to court they charge less interest and are more likely to make the loan.
Another rule of thumb is debt never goes away- even if all the banks went belly up your debts would be sold to some sort of collection agency that would probably be even worse than the bank to deal with.
As the economy collapses more and more people will be stuck loosing everything and having half their paychecks garnished.

Get out from under debt now, and have contingency plans for the debt you cant escape - anything to keep them off your back.

Debt is prison there is still probation and parole available for now,but those gates are starting to close.

    5. Exactly. They changed the rules once, that should have been enough warning for everybody.
